Mid-West Vocal Academy & Music School teachers prepare students for all levels of examination in the main internationally recognised examination boards. When the teacher considers the student ready to undertake examination, on receipt of payment of relevant fee, the school with submit the student to be examined.

The Covid pandemic necessitated the introduction of Performance only examination, which is a recorded performance of the relevant grade syllabus. These Performance Grade have been continued by most exam boards since society returned to somewhat normal. In Person exams, which include aural and theory examination are once again available to all students.

The Mid-West Vocal Academy & Music School have no control over the scheduling of examinations by any of the Boards. If a scheduled examination is missed due to any uncertified reason, the fee is forfeited.
